Call said nothing but keep callin

We received a call from this number yesterday.

Received a call from 773-770-4981 check fraud division, reporting some kind of check fraud.  she identified herself as ms. johnson.  She did not ask for any particular person and it sounded like a recording..  Any ligitament company would not have a recorded message if it involved fraud.

I received a new phone number 21 months ago. This rent-to-own home company started called me today - they are asking for the person who previously had my phone number (she apparently didn't pay her bills - I've finally gotten the debt collection calls to stop). I do not know if she recently gave them her 2 year old phone number or if they randomly decided to start calling again. They have called 3 times from different phone numbers located in 3 different states in the past hour. Each time I have picked up the phone told them Ebony is no longer at this number and told them to stop calling. The voice on the phone is female, but I am pretty sure it is a computer generated response system. On the last call (from this number). I interrupted her and asked for the name of their company - they hung up. I own my home - I don't need a rent to own service.

Some type of loan offer

unknown I did not answer this call

Flower we’re send. No name

This number calls me at least once a day. It is always a recording, so I have no way to ask them to stop calling. When I call the number it sounds like a machine. This is a cell number, so their call is not free to me. Please help me, the number of calls is at the level of harassment.

Medline reminder recording

Answered to recording”you are preapproved for a loan up to $8000, press 1 to speak to an agent or 2 if you want your number removed from our database”.  I wanted to see what they would say so I chose 1 and waited for 5 minutes with no hold music, nothing so I hung up.

won't answer

Same robo-call voicemail described above received at 3:26 pm Aug 30 2019. I confirmed with Amazon no such charge was made, and reported scam to Amazon

Got a phone call from this number. No message left.

Recorded message from Brian somebody about a financial opportunity that is not identified.

They asked me how often I shat.

No message left. Obviously, the number is the origin of a variety of scams, so it doesn't matter what the particulars are in any one call. No legitimate agency calls from a number shared by other entirely different sorts of callers, so either blocking, ignoring, or hanging up is the only proper response. Once I realized that just letting a call go to the answering machine signals the caller that a viable number has been reached, I have begun checking the caller ID, and if it looks at all suspect, I use a quick answer-hangup-answer-hangup-answer-hangup tactic instead. May make no difference, but at least if a living being is calling, they will not even get to leave a mesage.

Scam. They keep asking my personal information.

want to sell me website space available for free

Good news!   The previous scammer who was hawking these vehicle warranties and making the same Robo calls were in fact busted about a year or so ago by the FTC.   They were busted because of all of those who reported them.   This is apparently a new Scammer picking up the car warranty scam.  The FTC does go after these scammers however it does take time and a lot of work.  They build up a record of valid complaints,  attempt to locate them,  gather information by investigating,  and must acquire enough evidence to make a prosecutable case against them.   Otherwise,  all is lost along with a lot of money spent investigating and preparing a case.
It is a long process and not always successful but  the FTC has had some pretty big busts in the last year or so including a couple seperate   "Rachael/Megan"  callers.   Report these callers,  it can't hurt and can go toward what the FTC needs to bust them........

Received a call from 312-883-1592. Left partial message that I could not follow and phone number.  A couple of minutes later I received a call from 312-878-5598.  Same voice and partial message.  Obviously a scam.
